THE BIRD BOX CAMERA

Situated in our back garden in Hythe, Hampshire, England, the box was first occupied in April 2000.

The box was originally intended for blackbirds, but has always been occupied by Great Tits. Accordingly, the hole was reduced in size from 2"/50mm to 1¼"/32mm. A subsequent attempt to attract Blue Tits by reducing the hole further to 1"/25mm was abandoned after Great Tits were noticed trying to find other ways into the box, such is the popularity of this abode!
